Need NO COST home repairs and education to help maintain a safer, healthier home?
The Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB) program can help!
All you need to be eligible are the requirements below:
- Be a homeowner in Hillsborough or Pinellas County
- Have a household income at or below 120% Area Median Incomes
- Live in a single family dwelling, condo, town-home, or mobile & manufactured home (must own the lot)
- Have at least one child (age 0-14)
- Property taxes must be current
You could receive preventive repairs such as:
- Carpet steam cleaning
- Weatherization of doors and windows
- Installation of child proofing kits
- Replacement of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors
- Replacement of AC filters
- Minor mold remediation
- Lead paint testing

Need help paying rent or utilities? Metropolitan Ministries can help!
Metropolitan Ministries will be accepting 25 new Financial Assistance Requests each morning (beginning at 9am until 4:30pm).
Please call 813-209-1000 to request assistance or visit their website at Metropolitan Ministries (metromin.org).
If you are seeking Utility Financial Assistance, the following documents will be required:
- Current utility bill
- Past due notice (if currently past due)
- Government issued ID (which matches the name on the utility bill)
- Letter from employer, unemployment office of doctor stating job loss, reduced hours and/or quarantined (on their letterhead)
If you are seeking Rental Financial Assistance, the following documents are needed:
- Current lease
- Landlord W-9 (must get from landlord)
- Government issued ID (which must match the name on the lease)
- Letter from employer, unemployment office of doctor stating job loss, reduced hours and/or quarantined (on their letterhead)
Hillsborough County Mortgage, Rental, and Housing Assistance
Offering support with mortgage and rental counseling assistance up to $7,500.

If anyone needs support getting paperwork together to apply for rental assistance through Hillsborough County, Commissioner Overman has indicated residents can call her office at 813.272.5735 to get that support (ask for Antionette Davis).
